Zambian Airways Joins ARC test

Zambian Airways (Q3/391) has joined ARC as a participating carrier, effective with sales on November 3, 2008 (PED 11/09/08).

Headquartered in Lusaka, Zambia, Zambian Airways operates domestic scheduled flights between Lusaka and Ndola, Livingstone, Mfuwe, Chipata and Solwezi, and regionally, between Lusaka and Johannesburg in South Africa, Dar-es-Salaam in Tanzania, and Lubambashi in Zaire. Zambian Airways operates a fleet of Boeing 737s, Embraer 120s and Beech 1900 aircraft.

Zambian Airways is displayed in Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre and Worldspan, with e-ticketing enabled in Amadeus and Galileo. Zambian is offering a 5% sales commission on published fares to ARC-accredited agencies & CTDs.

Zambian Airways has elected the General Concurrence method of agent appointment whereby all ARC-accredited agencies and corporate travel departments are automatically appointed as agents of Zambian Airways. Initially, Zambian Airways will be accepting cash as the only form of payment through ARC.

ARC Thanksgiving Holiday Information

Sales Report Submission

ARC's offices will be closed on Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28, 2008, in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. Agencies and Corporate Travel Departments will not have an extra day to prepare the sales report for PED 11/30/08. Your weekly sales report must be authorized by midnight, Tuesday, December 2.

Ticket Modification/Voiding Schedule

Please note the following dates to modify and reconcile IAR transactions issued Wednesday, November 26 and Thursday, November 27:

  • GDS Void Date: Friday, November 28
  • IAR Reconciliation Date: Monday, December 1

Emergency Document Orders During the Thanksgiving Holiday

Emergency orders placed on Wednesday, November 26, before 4:00 Eastern Standard Time will be delivered Friday, November 28 due to UPS scheduling. Emergency orders placed on Thursday, November 27 or Friday, November 28, will be delivered Monday, December 2. Please place your document order early to avoid delays. Notice of Changes to the Agent Reporting Agreement

The Board of Directors of Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC), following consultation with travel agent and carrier representatives, approved a number of changes to the ARC Agent Reporting Agreement ("Agreement"). The amended Agreement and summary of changes are available for review on ARC's home page at www.arccorp.com and will be published in a future edition of the online Industry Agents' Handbook.

Please be advised, in accordance with section XXV of the Agreement - Memorandum of Agreement and Alternative Means of Concurrence - these changes will be effective November 10, 2008. Your continued participation with ARC under the Agreement after the November 10, 2008, effective date will serve as acceptance of the aforementioned amendments. ARC Network Scheduled Maintenance - Sunday, November 9

On Sunday, November 9, 2008 from 1:00 AM EST until 4:00 AM EST, ARC will be performing scheduled maintenance that will preclude access to the following ARC network-based applications - DRS, DRS Admin, TRS, and DataXpert. Access will be restored at 4:01 AM EST. We apologize for any inconvenience.


Aeropostal No Longer Accepts American Express

Effective with sales of November 3, 2008 (PED 11/09/08), Aeropostal Airlines (VH/152) no longer accepts American Express as a form of payment through ARC.
