IAR Access Available Only Through My ARC - Beginning Thursday, September 25th

If you have not registered for My ARC, your IAR account will be accessible only through My ARC beginning this coming Thursday, September 25, 2008. Register today.

Registration for My ARC is currently available to all IAR users. My ARC is your centralized access point to a growing list of ARC tools and resources.

Benefits of My ARC:

  • Self-service password resets
  • Single sign-on for ISS and, in the future, for IAR
  • Delegated administrative capabilities such as granting or revoking ISS access via simple administrative interface.
  • View content specific to Travel Professionals

To take advantage of all the features and benefits My ARC has to offer, we encourage you to have all employees who are active users of IAR register for My ARC accounts.

My ARC Will Be Offline Early EST on Thursday, September 25

Due to scheduled maintenance, My ARC will be inaccessible from 1:00 AM EST through 7:00 AM EST Thursday, September 25th. This will preclude users from accessing any applications through My ARC. My ARC will return online at 7:01 AM EST.

Surinam Airways Joins ARC

Surinam Airways (PY/192), the national airline of Suriname, has joined ARC as a participating carrier, effective with sales as of September 22, 2008 (PED 09/28/08).

Surinam Airways is based in Paramaribo, offering regional and long-haul scheduled passenger services from its hub at Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport. Its fleet includes Boeing 747-300, Boeing 737-2L9/Adv and McDonnell Douglas MD-82 aircraft.

Surinam Airways operates services to the following international scheduled destinations:

  • Amsterdam
  • Aruba
  • Brazil (Belem)
  • Curacao/Netherlands Antilles
  • Miami
  • Trinidad/Tobago

Surinam Airways has elected the General Concurrence method of agent appointment whereby all ARC-accredited agencies and corporate travel departments are automatically appointed as agents of the carrier, unless specifically advised to the contrary by the carrier. Surinam Airways currently accepts American Express, Diners Club International, MasterCard, UATP, Visa and cash as forms of payment through ARC.

Please note: To Utilize Credit Card forms of payment, 75% of travel must be ticketed on Surinam Airways.

Armavia Becomes ARC Participant

Armavia (U8/669) has joined ARC as a participating carrier, effective with sales as of September 22, 2008 (PED 09/28/08).

Armavia is the national air carrier of the Republic of Armenia. Based in Yerevan, Armavia operates flights from Yerevan to destinations in Russia, the CIS, Middle East and Western Europe. Armavia also operates seasonal charters to destinations in the Mediterranean basin.

Armavia is offering an introductory 5% sales commission on published fares to ARC-accredited agencies & CTDs.

Armavia has elected the General Concurrence method of agent appointment whereby all ARC-accredited agencies and corporate travel departments are automatically appointed as agents of Armavia. At this time, Armavia accepts cash as the only form of payment through ARC.

ARC MarketPlace Training

Training classes for ARC MarketPlace - which will also include information about additional revenue-generating opportunities - are being offered this fall. Each free one-hour interactive training class will be conducted online with audio conferencing through Microsoft Live Meeting. Classes will be led by an ARC instructor and participants can ask questions while viewing and following the instructor's presentation.

There will be four opportunities to participate, with class dates scheduled to be held in September, October, November and December.

Register for the Friday, October 17 session.

All sessions will be held from 1pm - 2pm EST. After registering you will receive log-in/call-in instructions via e-mail, prior to the training. We look forward to helping you understand how this revenue-enhancing tool can help your business.

Tip of the Week - Changing e-mail Address for Memo Notifications in ARC Memo Manager

ARC Memo Manager gives Entity Administrators the ability to set or change default e-mail settings for their company. This screen is accessible and editable for only those users who have entity administrative privileges.

To set or change settings:

  1. Click the Administrative tab
  2. Select Entity option
  3. Enter Agency ARC# in the Entity ID field and then click the LOAD button
  4. Type an e-mail address in the Business Support E-mail textbox
  5. Type an e-mail address in the Notification Mail for New Memos textbox
  6. Click the Activate check box to turn on the notification e-mail
  7. Click the Submit button to save changes
  8. You should receive a confirmation message stating "Operation Successful"
