Air Baltic Joins ARC

Air Baltic (BT/657) has joined ARC as a participating carrier, effective with sales as of June 9, 2008 (PED 06/15/08).

With headquarters in Riga Airport, Latvia, Air Baltic has a fleet of 23 aircraft - with Boeing 737 and 757 aircraft as well as Fokker 50's. In 2007, Air Baltic carried 2 million passengers to more than 60 international destinations from their hub in Riga and additionally from Vilnius, Lithuania. AVIAREPS Inc. is Air Baltic's General Sales Agent in the USA.

Air Baltic has elected the General Concurrence method of agent appointment whereby all ARC agents are automatically appointed as agents of Air Baltic unless specifically advised to the contrary by the carrier. At this time, Air Baltic accepts cash as the only form of payment through ARC.

ARC Memo Manager

As more carriers use Memo Manager to deliver their memos, the ARC team would like to kindly remind agents to proactively sign into Memo Manager to check if they have new memos in the system. This can easily be done by logging in and looking under the "Alerts" section on the home page.

As a reminder, memos are only inserted into an agent's sales report from Memo Manager when an agent authorizes payment. Agents can also dispute memos and communicate with the carrier via this online tool.

If you have not registered for ARC Memo Manager, please visit https://amm.arccorp.com/amm/ and click on "Not Enrolled? Register Now". Once registered, agents can view memos, correspond, pay a memo or dispute a memo online.

ARC Carrier e-ticketing Policies and Practices Update

ARC-processed travel agency and CTD transactions have reached 98% e-ticketing and ARC participating carriers support for continued e-ticketing growth is broad. While ARC will continue to process paper transactions as needed, on an individual basis, carriers have asked ARC to communicate their specific policies with respect to e-ticketing. An e-ticketing matrix showing the e-ticketing status of all ARC carriers can be found at www.arccorp.com/support/eticketing-matrices.jsp.

Effective June 1, 2008, Aeroflot will only permit issuance of electronic tickets (ET).


Hainan Airlines Now Accepts American Express

Effective June 9, 2008 (PED 06/15/08), Hainan Airlines (HU/880) accepts American Express as a form of payment through ARC.

Tip of the Week: Online Help

When working in the My ARC, ARC Document Retrieval Service (DRS) or IAR you can find help online.

To access the online help, click on 'Help' in the upper right corner of the main blue-gray area. This will open up a new window with the first topic relevant to that screen. If the task you want to perform is not listed, click 'Show' in the upper left corner for the entire Help File listing.

Once you open the expanded view, you can:

  • browse the Table of Contents
  • search an index of keywords
  • perform a general search
  • look up a term in the Glossary

To access the different features, click on the 'Table,' 'Index,' 'Search,' or 'Glossary' buttons in the upper left corner.

To browse the Table of Contents, click on the 'Table' button. On the left side bar, click on the page or book icon to view topic.

To search the Index, click on the 'Index' button. Type topic you want to view.
Click on topic from the list on the left side bar to view topic.

To perform a general Search, click on the 'Search' button. Type the topic you want to view, click on 'Go' and then click on the topic from the results list on the left side bar.

To look up a definition of a word or phrase in the Glossary, click on the 'Glossary' button. Scroll through the list of terms and phrases to locate the one that you want. Click on the term that you want defined. The definition is located in the bottom window of the left side bar.
