IAR Will Be Offline This Coming Sunday 12/02/07

ARC will be performing system maintenance on Sunday December 2, 2007. IAR will not be available from 1:00pm (Eastern) until 7:00am (Eastern) the following day (Monday). Sunday PM BOS files will be processed and available for download on the Monday morning following the outage.

BOS Scheduled Tables That Have Not Been Downloaded to be Deactivated

Effective December 9, 2007, BOS Scheduled Tables (AM and PM) that have not been downloaded in the past 45 days by indivdual users will be deactivated in IAR. Deactivated BOS tables can be re-activated at any time if needed. By deactivating unused tables we expect to realize the following benefits:

  • Eliminate overhead on the IAR BOS system
  • Improved AM and PM processing time provides for earlier BOS Scheduled Table availability

Virgin Nigeria Joins ARC as Participating Carrier

Virgin Nigeria (VK/786) has joined ARC as a participating carrier, effective with sales as of November 26, 2007 (PED 12/02/07).

With headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria, Virgin Nigeria serves the West African regional cities of Accra, Dakar, Douala and Coutonou as well as extensive domestic Nigerian services from it's Lagos hub to Abuja, Port Harcourt, Owerri, Kano, Sokoto and Calabar. Virgin Nigeria also operates longhaul to and from Johannesburg and London. Virgin Nigeria flies Boeing 767-300, Boeing 737-300 and Fokker F50 aircraft.

As Virgin Nigeria has elected the General Concurrence method of agent appointment, all ARC-accredited agencies and corporate travel departments are automatically appointed as agents of the carrier unless specifically advised to the contrary by the carrier. At this time, the carrier accepts cash as the only form of payment through ARC.

Kingfisher Airlines Now Accepts UATP

Effective with sales of November 12, 2007 (PED 11/19/07), Kingfisher Airlines (IT/090) accepts UATP as a form of payment through ARC.


Vintage Props and Jets Now Accepts American Express

Effective with sales of November 12, 2007 (PED 11/19/07), Vintage Props & Jets (VQ/548) accepts American Express as a form of payment through ARC.

ARC MarketPlace Commissions to Be Paid Through ARC Memo Manager

ARC MarketPlace commissions will be paid through ARC Memo Manager. Agencies who have not already registered for ARC Memo Manager should do so by visiting ARC's corporate Web page and clicking on "Memo Manager" in the toolbox on the left. Then click on "Not enrolled? Register Now"

  • ARC will issue a credit memo for your commission payment
  • Registered Memo Manager primary administrators will be sent a daily e-mail when they have received new memos in Memo Manager
  • Login to Memo Manager to review your memos
  • Accept the memo in Memo Manager by selecting the "Pay" button for that memo
  • Memo Manager will automatically update your IAR sales report with the relevant memo information
