IAR

Report and process sales, refunds, exchanges, and adjustment transactions

Interactive Agent Reporting (IAR) is an electronic sales reporting system that uses the Internet and Web-based technology to integrate an agency's Global Distribution System (GDS) and ARC's settlement system. It allows ARC participating organizations to settle agency sales, refunds, exchanges, and adjustment transactions.

Ticket transactions are transmitted from the GDS to IAR daily, and are available in IAR the following day. Transactions can also be entered into IAR directly. IAR collects the ticketing data and electronically prepares a weekly ARC sales report on a daily basis. IAR will verify each transaction, as it is received, and identify specific errors. On Tuesday of each week, the sales report date is verified and submitted to ARC for settlement. Historical sales and transaction data is then viewable in ISS and DRS.

Pricing and Ordering: IAR is part of the core set of products included in the cost of participation for fully-accredited travel agencies and CTDs.

Learn more about participation

  • Screen layouts that match typical sales reporting work flows
  • The ability to choose the number of transactions to display on a page
  • A graphical user interface that is easy to learn, read, and navigate

Back Office System Information

IAR includes a feature for creating data files which can be imported into most Back Office accounting Systems (BOS). Types of reports can include financial, customer, travel patterns, settlement, general ledger, and accounting. These can be used as an optional reconciliation tool to identify discrepancies in net cash, net credit and/or net remit between data in IAR and data contained in your BOS.

There are two separate files available depending on the amount of detail needed. Participants may request a list of transactions containing a summary of each transaction or a single detailed transaction. In addition, qualifiers can be used to further customize a file request.

Any inquiries about importing BOS files should be directed to the attention of your BOS vendor.
