Description
Focused Agency List (FAL) is a specialized list comprised of five groupings of agency/CTD locations based on their fare totals for the previous calendar year.
The FAL file groups records from the Agency List standard file into tiers based on their fare totals (i.e. sales volume) processed during the previous calendar year. Five fixed tiers are available:
- Under $500,000;
- $500,000 - $1 million;
- $1 million to $3 million;
- $3 million - $10 million;
- Above $10 million.
You may purchase any one or all five sales volume categories. In addition, customers may elect to further stratify the list of agencies/CTDs by geographic location of the agency, instead of purchasing the entire file.

ARC Focused Agency List FAQs
- What is included in the FAL file?
The FAL file includes the following fields:
- Current, Previous, and Home Office Agency Code Numbers
- Legal and Trade Name along with the Trade Name Label
- Physical Address and Phone Number
- Office and Entity Type
- Date of inclusion on the list
- Mail indicator for agencies accepting direct mail pieces
- Sales volume range
- How is the sales volume calculated?
The Fare amount, which is the total value of all tickets, less taxes, fees, and charges, is summarized on an annual basis by agency location. Ticket refunds and exchanges are factored into these fare amounts accordingly. To be included on the FAL file, the location must be active as of the end of the previous calendar year (e.g., December 2006 if the current year is 2007).
- Does the file include financial information? If not, can I add specific sales amounts to the file?
No. The file does not include specific dollar amounts, nor can ARC make that information available to parties other than the agent in question and ARC-participating carriers.
- Can I obtain a FAL list with different ranges other than the ranges mentioned above?
Customers can request different sales ranges or timeframes for analysis. ARC will review the request and approve on a case-by-case basis. Additional fees apply for customized requests.
- Will ARC send the FAL file directly to my data processor on my behalf?
Yes, however, if a customer plans to use a third party to process, analyze, or handle the file in any manner, the customer, third party, and ARC must enter into a tri-partied agreement (see link below to PDF version of the agreement).
- What is the standard turn-around time for receiving the FAL list?
ARC typically sends the file to the customer within 48 hours after receiving the signed lease agreement and order form from the customer.
