IAR will require users to have personal computers with the following hardware and software configuration:
- PC with Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 98, Windows 2000 or Windows 2000 Professional.
- Connection to the Internet (modem, broad-band or high-speed connection).
- Screens designed for optimum resolution of 1024 x 768.
- Web browser that supports 128 bit encryption for SSL connectivity, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or
Netscape 7.1
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 is supported only if the IE 5.01 Service Pack 1 (for Windows 98) or High Encryption
pack (for Windows 2000) has been installed.
- Older versions of Netscape Navigator (4.74 and above) are supported only if 128 bit encryption is installed.
- To check the encryption capability of your browser:
- Internet Explorer
- Help -> About Internet Explorer
- Look for Cipher Strength
- Netscape
- If your browser does not report a 128-bit cipher level, it is using 40-bit encryption, and you should upgrade
your browser to a later version.
