2008 Administrative Fee

ARC's Board of Directors has approved an increase in the annual administrative fees to be paid by Agents and CTDs in 2008 while at the same time eliminating several fees associated with other mandated and discretionary services.

We at ARC make every effort to keep our costs and fees low even as we continue to invest significantly in the technology needed to keep the agent and CTD channels competitive and attractive to both distributors and the traveling public. However, as such technology investments grow, the administrative fee has not increased since ARC's inception in 1985 and an increase is now needed.

This increase of $20 per month on average may be significant in light of the many years of no increases whatsoever. To somewhat mitigate the impact of the increased administrative fee, we are reducing and eliminating several other fees which, depending on the agent's use of ARC's products and services, may offset the administrative fee increase or even lead to a net reduction in cost. In addition, ARC will split the collection of the fixed fee portion of the annual fee to ARC-accredited independent locations (ARC-accredited locations without associated branches or STPs) collecting $150 in January 2008 and the remaining balance in July, 2008.

To help our customer approximate what to anticipate in terms of costs for the year to come, we are providing the calculator below where the ARC accredited agent or CTD may model their business profile and arrive at an estimated cost based on the factors they select.

ARC's 2008 Administrative Fee

  • Fixed Portion (IND*/HOL) $395.00
  • Fixed Portion (Branch/STP) $150.00
  • Transaction Fee $0.020 (only charged to agents processing more than 1,000 transactions per quarter. 80% of ARC agents will be charged zero transaction fees.
  • Quarterly Ceiling (for transaction fees) 1,875,000

Fees Eliminated in 2008

  • Elimination of all Agency Training Fees ranging from $225 to $525
  • Elimination of miscellaneous fees associated with accreditation processing ranging from $25 to $175.00 (detailed fee list)
