UNITED SIGNS MULTIYEAR AGREEMENT WITH ARC

Arlington, VA, August 22, 2006 - United Airlines has renewed a market data services agreement with ARC for a multi-year term. Under this agreement, ARC will provide the full marketplace version of the ARC Origin & Destination Sales SummaryTM and ARC Itinerary DetailTM products.

Built on the ARC COMPASS® data warehousing platform, the ARC Origin & Destination Sales SummaryTM provides ARC-participating carriers with flexible, timely, and comprehensive sales information for ARC-accredited agents and corporate travel departments (CTDs) with respect to individual city pair markets. Unlike reports based on transactions subject to cancellation, void, or refund, this product provides settled carrier ticketing data accounting for cancelled, voided, or refunded transactions. Also featured is valuable information on the total number of ARC-participating carriers in each city pair market segment and breakout by transaction levels, total and average fares, and class of service.

The ARC Itinerary Detail file provides detailed coupon level information for all ARC-participating carriers. Using settled transaction information that includes refunds and exchanges, this data is essential for making informed planning and marketing decisions. Additionally, market information allows for benchmarking on specific routes. The data can be compared to all other carriers serving a given market and, when combined with a carrier’s own direct sales and non-US point-of-sale transactions, can provide a complete depiction of actual travel. This provides a much clearer understanding of consumer behavior as measured by purchase activity.
