ARC RELEASES JULY REPORTING & SETTLEMENT SUMMARY

Arlington, VA, August 10, 2006 - ARC today released a summary of July 2006 and year to date Reporting & Settlement results. This represents ARC’s processing and settlement of travel agency and CTD sales transactions on behalf of 147 airlines and railroads. Highlights from the month and year to date were as follows:

• Total sales by travel agents and CTDs reached $5.8 billion for the four week processing month of July 2006 or 8% over the period in 2005.
• Total fares also exceeded the same month a year before by 8% and were led by marginally stronger growth in domestic fares which rose by 9% as compared to 7% year over year growth in international fares.
• e-Ticketing as a percentage of total ticketing reached 94.61% for the four weeks of July.
  Note: The calculation of the e-ticketing percentage has changed effective with this month’s Reporting & Settlement Summary. From now on, ARC’s e-ticketing percentage excludes miscellaneous documents such as Miscellaneous Charges Orders (MCOs), Tour-Orders (TOs), and Pre-paid Ticket Advices (PTAs). The calculation only includes transactions that are, or potentially could be, ticketed as electronic documents. The result of the mid-year change is a slight spike (a difference of 3.36 percentage points in July when compared to the e-ticket percentage using the former calculation).
