ARC PROCESSES RECORD SALES IN MAY

Arlington, VA, June 8, 2006 - ARC today released a summary of May Reporting & Settlement results. Highlights from the month were as follows:

• Total sales of $7.1 billion in May 2006 were 15% over the same month in 2005 and establish a new record high for a four-week processing month
• International Fares set a new record for dollar volume in a four-week processing month at $2.8 billion
• Credit card billings also reached a record high with just under $6 billion for a four-week processing month
• Travel agents and CTDs continued to grow their ARC reported average weekly sales per location, topping the previous record by more than $4,000 and reaching a weekly average of $82,342, which is 21% higher than just a year ago

Note: A corrected copy of ARC’s electronically archived monthly processing statistics for February, 2006 has been posted on ARC’s Web site. The corrected line item was “Taxes” (including taxes, fees, and charges) for the month of February only which were erroneously overstated by $30 million. The typographical error did not affect any cumulative year-to-date figure or any subsequent summary of processing results.
