Lan Argentina Has Joined ARC
Arlington, VA, October 27, 2005
– Lan Argentina (469/4M) has joined ARC as a participating carrier effective with sales starting Monday, October 31, 2005, giving 22,000 ARC-accredited travel agency and corporate travel department locations the ability to settle Lan Argentina transactions through ARC’s trusted settlement system.
From its hub in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Lan Argentina will launch international operations with daily nonstop service between Miami, Florida and Buenos Aires starting December 1, 2005. From Buenos Aires it will also have three daily frequencies to Cordoba, two daily frequencies to Bariloche, Iguazu, and Mendoza, and two weekly frequencies to Comodoro Rivadavia and Rio Gallegos. Lan Argentina operates B737-200 aircraft on their domestic routes and will operate B767-300 aircraft on the Miami route.
As Lan Argentina has elected the General Concurrence method of agent appointment, all ARC-accredited agencies are automatically appointed as agents of the carrier. In addition to cash, the airline accepts MasterCard and Visa as valid forms of payment.
