ARC RELEASES AUGUST 2005 OPERATING RESULTS

Arlington, VA, September 8, 2005 ARC today released its summary of August 2005 operating results. Highlights were as follows:

• Total sales were 11% above August of 2004 due in part to strong fares which were above the same month in 2004, by 8% and 15% for domestic and international fares, respectively. Total Sales were additionally inflated in comparison to August 2004 due in part to the 14% year over year increase in taxes, fees, and charges.
• Average sales per agency location in August were 22% over the same month a year before.
