BANGKOK AIRWAYS TO BECOME ARC-PARTICIPATING CARRIER
Arlington, VA, August 25, 2005
Bangkok Airways (829/PG) will join ARC as a participating carrier effective with sales starting Monday, September 5, 2005, giving 22,000 ARC accredited travel agency and corporate travel department locations the ability to settle Bangkok Airways transactions through ARC’s trusted settlement system.
Headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand, Bangkok Airways currently flies to eight domestic Thai destinations and thirteen destinations throughout Asia, including Guilin, Hangzhou, Hong Kong, Jinghong, Luang Prabang, Phnom Penh, Shenzhen, Siem Reap, Singapore, Xi’an, Yangon, and Zhenzhou. Bangkok Airways currently operates nine ATR 72-500, four Boeing 717-200, and three A320 aircraft.
As Bangkok Airways has elected the General Concurrence method of agent appointment, all ARC-accredited agencies and CTDs are automatically appointed as agents of the carrier. In addition to cash, the carrier accepts the following forms of credit card payment: MasterCard and VISA.
