ARC RELEASES SEPTEMBER OPERATING RESULTS

Arlington, VA, October 14, 2004 - Total sales for the five processing weeks in September 2004 were just under six billion dollars, or two percent below the same month in 2003. International fares remained favorable at seven percent higher than September 2003, while the larger domestic fare volume ended the month at ten percent below. This left total fares four percent short of the September 2003 results.

Average weekly sales per agency location were $50,138, exceeding the same month in 2003 by eight percent.

E-ticketing transactions continued to be significant, with 87.1% of all transactions processed by ARC now being paperless.
