JUNE OPERATING RESULTS REVEAL STRONG INTERNATIONAL SALES
Arlington, VA, July 15, 2004
- ARC's monthly operational statistics for June 2004 show international fares holding
strong while domestic fares fell compared to the prior year. International fares of $2,663,735,000 in the five processing weeks in June were the highest
in three years and only about two hundred million shy of the all-time record international fares established in June of 2000.
By contrast, domestic fares were four percent below where they were a year ago averaging $679 million per week in June - down from average weekly domestic fares well in excess of $700 million since January of this year.
Average weekly sales per agency location remained strong in June exceeding average weekly sales a year ago by eighteen percent.
Total sales for the month were $6,782,890,000 or five percent above June a year ago but short of the strong five week processing
month of March 2004 when total sales exceeded seven billion dollars.
