ARC'S MAY STATISTICS REVEAL STRENGTH OF TRAVEL AGENCY SALES

Arlington, VA, June 10, 2004 - ARC's monthly operational statistics for May 2004 reveal the strongest sales for a four-week month since May 2001.  International fares in particular compare well having reached the highest dollar volume in a four-week month since May 2000.

"Record average sales per agency location serve to confirm the value of the travel agent as a strong catalyst to the overall recovery of our industry," said Kathi Argiropoulos, ARC Vice President - Travel Agency Services.  "Despite the still decreasing numbers of travel agency locations, volumes equal or exceed those of years ago," she added.
