COLLINS POINTS TO "STEADY PROGRESS" IN ARC STATISTICS
              AVERAGE SALES PER LOCATION HIT NEW HIGH

Arlington, VA, March 11, 2004 - ARC today released monthly operational statistics indicating it settled 11 percent more total air and rail travel sales in February 2004 than in February 2003.  February is the sixth consecutive month in which sales were higher than in the same month last year.

ARC President and CEO, David R. B. Collins, CTC, said, "Last year at this time, concerns about terrorism alerts and the threat of war had a negative impact on travel sales.  A year before that, our industry was feeling the ill effects of September 11, 2001.   These significant fluctuations took place in an economic environment that has also hurt passenger travel.  In emerging from such challenges, it is important to examine trending.  More significant than the percentage of the increase in sales from February 2003 to February 2004 is the fact that we have seen year-over-year increases for seven of the last eight months.  This kind of steady progress is the key to continued growth in the travel industry."

ARC's statistics also indicate a new record high for weekly average sales per ARC-accredited location.  The average increased 25 percent in February 2004 over the same month last year and by nine percent over the previous record high, set in October 2003.  In February, ARC processed an average of $53,676 in sales per week, per location.

"With increased average sales per location in 17 of the last 18 months, ARC-accredited companies continue to show their value as distributors of travel," said Collins.
