ARC EQUIPMENT STOLEN IN BURGLARY
Arlington, VA, January 13, 2004
- ARC (Airlines Reporting Corp.), a company that processes financial transactions primarily for air travel,
was recently the victim of a burglary in which computer equipment was stolen.
ARC began working with law enforcement authorities immediately upon discovery of the theft and has continued to do so. The stolen
items included two computers, one monitor and one projector. While one of the computers contained information related to travel
transactions, all information available to date indicates that the crime was a property theft. To date, no misuse of data has been
reported to ARC.
ARC said it has made the appropriate notifications commensurate with the theft and that, as a result, the necessary steps are being taken.
As the investigation into the theft is ongoing, ARC is not in a position to comment further.
ARC has noted that its business operations continue. The stolen equipment was used in important support functions but was not fundamental to ARC's operations.
