April 7, 2003 - Arlington, VA - LanEcuador, 462/XL, will join ARC as a participating carrier effective with sales of April 14, 2003.

LanEcuador will begin operations between the United States and Ecuador in April 2003 with daily service between both Miami International Airport and New York's JFK International Airport and the Ecuadorian cities of Quito and Guayaquil.  New destinations, such as Santiago, Chile, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Madrid, Spain may also be added in the near future.  LanEquador will operate a young fleet of Boeing 767-300 and Airbus A320 aircraft in a two-class configuration.  LanEcuador offers high quality standards for safety, service, and efficiency, including the warm hospitality of its staff, personalized service, and the latest technology, in-flight entertainment, and comfort.

LanEcuador has elected the General Concurrence method of agent appointment whereby all ARC agents are automatically appointed as agents of LanEcuador unless specifically advised to the contrary by the carrier.  At this time, LanEcuador accepts cash as the only form of payment, with credit card acceptance to follow within the next few weeks.
