Arlington, VA, April 19, 2007 – ARC is reporting record high processing and settlement levels in its summary of March 2007 results representing travel agency and CTD sales transactions on behalf of 157 airlines and railroads. Highlights from the month were as follows:

• Total sales by travel agents and CTDs reached $8.7 billion in March 2007 – a 4% increase over March 2006 and a new record for a five-week processing month eclipsing a previous highpoint established in March 2000.
• International fares of $3.5 billion grew by 11% over the same month a year before also marking a new record exceeding a previous high set in June 2006
• Average sales per ARC-accredited location also jumped in March setting a new record average per location of $84,782. The earlier record was set in May 2006.

Other records include:

• For the first time, ARC processed taxes and fees in excess of $1 billion in a single processing month reaching $1.1 billion in March.
• Credit Card Billings at $7.6 billion and Credit Card Transactions at 14.1 million both set new record levels exceeding previously highs from a year ago.
