ARC’S JOINT ADVISORY BOARD MEETS IN ARLINGTON

Arlington, VA, October 19, 2007 – ARC’s Joint Advisory Board - Agent Reporting Agreement (JAB-ARA) convened yesterday in a regular semi-annual meeting at ARC’s Arlington, VA headquarters. Present were representatives of ARC’s travel agent and carrier stakeholder groups in addition to representatives of ARC’s management.

In what an ARC representative characterized as a robust meeting, JAB-ARA participants reviewed several product updates but the main focus of the meeting was on ARC’s proposed administrative fees for 2008 (see ARC press release of September 4, 2007). In a split vote of five to five, the fee recommendation will move forward to ARC’s Board of Directors in December. A constructive discussion around this important topic included a suggestion from a representative of the agent community that the collection of the annual administrative fee be divided into two increments in 2008 rather than the typical single debit at the start of the year. This constructive proposal will be considered by ARC management before the proposed fees are presented to the Board for approval.
