ARC ENHANCES ITINERARY DETAIL PRODUCT FOR CARRIERS
ADDING OAL DATA, PRORATED FARES AND NEW DATA
ELEMENTS
The Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) has enhanced its Itinerary Detail with Average Fare display for Other Airline (OAL) transactions and prorated fares on every segment. In addition, nine optional new data elements are now offered on top of forty-nine standard data elements providing segment level detail on ARC-reported ticketed transactions.
Since the launch of its initial version in March 2007, ARC participating airlines have looked to ARC Itinerary Detail for timely and accurate data on which to base sound business decisions. Unique, in that they are ticketed transactions rather than booking data, ARC’s data products represent a superior alternative to traditional data sources. “ARC is leveraging the unique value of the data we have available with our ability to deliver a cost-effective and timely product to our customers. This allows us to deliver the future to the airline industry,” states Chuck Thackston, ARC General Manager – Data & Analytics.
New optional data elements added to ARC Itinerary Detail include:
- Issuing Agency Name
- Modal Average Fare
- City Code of Airport Location
- Co-Terminal City Code
- Mileage Between City Pairs
- Total Base Fare
- True O&D
- True O&D Value
- Industry Average Fare
