FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FOR IAR AND ISS USERS

Q: What is My ARC?
A: My ARC is your centralized access point to a growing list of ARC tools and resources. It utilizes a single sign on that enables a user to have a single user name and password for every application that is behind My ARC.
Q: Is My ARC a requirement? Do I have to use it?
A: Once a tool is available through My ARC, you will be required to use My ARC to access that tool.

If you have bookmarked the login page to one of the many tools that are now behind My ARC, the links to these tools will no longer exists and your old accounts will be inaccessible.

Q: What is a tool?
A: A tool is any ARC application such as IAR and ISS that require a user name and password.
Q: What is the fee to use My ARC?
A: There are no additional fees to use My ARC.
Q: How do I get started?
A: You must first register and set up a My ARC user account. Registration is available to agents who currently have an IAR or an ISS user account.
Q: Where do I go to register?
A: A link to the My ARC registration page is provided on the IAR and ISS login pages.
Q: If I have multiple IAR user accounts, should I register them all?
A: Only register one account. Once IAR is fully integrated with My ARC, you will be able to link your multiple accounts with your already registered My ARC account.
Q: If I have multiple ISS user accounts, can I register them all?
A: Yes, you will be able to register all of your ISS user account to a single My ARC user account.
Q: When registering, can I register multiple email addresses?
A: For better protection, only one email address can be registered per user. This must be a unique email address that has not been registered by another user..
Q: All users within my organization share the same email address. How can we register?
A: To register for a My ARC user account, each user must have a unique email address. You will not be able to submit an email address that has already been submitted.
Q: How do I access My ARC?
A: Once you have registered, you may access My ARC from ARC’s corporate website or at https://myarc.arccorp.com
Q: What tools are currently available for travel professionals on My ARC?
A: The following agency tools are available:
  • Internet Sales Summary (ISS)
  • The Agency List File
  • Working Groups pages (SAWG, BOS)

Q: When will other tools be included behind My ARC?
A: IAR is scheduled to be added this year. Look for our communications providing updates. Additional tools such as ARC Memo Manager, Agent’s Choice and Document Retrieval Service will be added to My ARC as quickly as possible. Adding tools is a complex process. As tools become available, you will be notified through our various carrier communications.
Q: Now that ISS is behind My ARC, can I still access it from its current location?
A: No, an application is behind My ARC, it is only accessible through My ARC.
Q: When registering for My ARC, can I use my current IAR or ISS user name and password as the user name and password for My ARC?
A: If you have both an IAR and ISS user account, your My ARC user name and password will automatically become your IAR user name and password once you have registered. If you only have an ISS user account, you will be required to create a new My ARC username and password.
Q: What is the contingency plan if My ARC is unavailable? How will I access my AR sales reports?
A: If My ARC is unavailable due to system problems, you will not be able to access any tools that are behind My ARC until the application is made available. The same procedures that apply today when IAR is down will apply for My ARC.
Q: I am an IAR Administrator. Will I continue to have this user role in IAR once I am registered for My ARC?
A: Yes. In IAR you will still have the IAR Administrator role. However if you are an IAR administrator then your My ARC user role will either be ‘My ARC Administrator’ or ‘My ARC Primary Administrator’ depending on your registration time.
Q: My organization has multiple IAR Administrators. Can My ARC have multiple Primary Administrators?
A: No, an organization can only have one ‘My ARC Primary Administrator’. If your organization has multiple IAR Administrators, the first IAR Administrator to register will be assigned the Primary Administrator. All other IAR Administrators will be assigned a ‘My ARC Administrator’ role.
Q: What is the difference between ‘My ARC Primary Administrator’ and ‘My ARC Administrator’ role?
A: Basically both the roles will have same access privileges except that My ARC Primary Administrator can create other My ARC Administrators and My ARC Primary Administrator will have tool administrative privileges by default. You can view different roles and responsibilities for these roles below.

Q: My organization has access to a specific tool within My ARC; however I do not. How can I receive access?
A: You may request additional tools. The Tools box on the My ARC home page provides a ‘Request Tool Access’ link which will allow you to request tools that are currently available to your organization. Tools requested must be approved by your organization’s tool administrator. Once a tool requested is submitted, the request is sent to the tool administrator.
Q: I need to change my user profile.
A: My ARC allows you to modify your own user profile. You can modify your user information, change your security questions and change your email options. In the User Info box on the home page, click the ‘edit’ link to go into your user account.
Q: When updating my user information, must I obtain approval form my administrator?
A: User information fields that require approval from your administrator will have an “” beside them. All other fields do not require approval. If you modify a user information field that requires approval, the request will be sent to your administrator for approval. Your administrator can approve or deny the request.
Q: I am an administrator, how do I approve or deny a user profile change or a tool access request.
A: The Administration site in My ARC provides a Pending Request screen. This screen will provide a list of the pending change request. You will easily be able approve or deny a request.

Q: What happens if I forget my security questions?
A: You will be able to change your security questions by editing your user account information from the My ARC Home page.
Q: I forget my password, who do I contact to have my password reset for My ARC?
A: One of the benefits of My ARC is that it allows you to reset your own password. You no longer to have contact ARC or your administrator for assistance!
Q: What are the system requirements to use My ARC?
A: My ARC requires very little in terms of hardware and software. All that is needed is an internet connection (dial up, cable, DSL, T1, etc.), a reasonably currently configured PC or laptop with Microsoft Windows 98, XP or above, and a browser that supports a 128-bit encryption.
