Responsibilities:

Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Java language and associated development environments.

• Demonstrate the ability to develop and adhere to Java coding standards.
• Demonstrate application programming development experience in design and construction utilizing J2EE and Enterprise Java Beans. Must be highly knowledgeable in all components and their life cycles.
• Demonstrate expertise with using Struts and using/applying design patterns and the usage of Hibernate object/relational persistence and query service
• Demonstrate knowledge and experience working with Oracle database.
• Be able to write complex queries for database and verification in TOAD.
• Be able to write SQL/PL SQL.
• Demonstrate broad knowledge of UNIX and UNIX commands
• Demonstrate ability to gather requirements, develop business rules, and write detailed specifications.
• Desired expertise with agile/lead development methodology i.e. Experience with SCRUM Agile. Certified SCRUM Master a plus.
• Sun Java Developer Certification is desired.
• Understanding of OLTP (Online Transaction Processing) is highly desired.

Demonstrate broad knowledge and experience working with object oriented design methodology teams.

• Demonstrate ability to translate requirements and business rules into functional Java applications.
• Understands and can put in practice the fundamentals of Software Process Improvement (Continuous Improvement). Including Agile/Lean development methodologies i.e.: SCRUM
• Act as experienced member of a Java development team.
• Provide technical and professional assistance to other ARC staff members
• Show ability to work within a team and matrixed environment.
• Certification in Project Management (PMP) is desired.
• Support all project related areas including Quality Assurance, conducting project meetings, post implementation activities, and mentoring of other developers new to Java applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field is desired.
• Travel industry experience is desired.
