Qualifications:
Summary ARC is seeking a candidate with experience supporting and administering applications. Candidates will be supporting off-the-shelf and in-house developed applications. This person will be supporting and troubleshooting application issues, bugs, and performance. The candidate should be able to work in a large, matrixed team, handle conflicting priorities with good judgment and professionalism, and be able to support multiple systems across multiple platforms at various stages of the product lifecycle. The work demands availability for the candidate to be presented on-site, with occasional, after hours or weekend work, as necessary. The position requires the candidate to carry an on-call support pager on a rotating basis.
Responsibilities:

- Support day to day operations of multiple applications across multiple platforms at various stages of the product lifecycle.
- Respond to customer requests for support in a timely manner and according to published service level objectives.
- Develop system support, installation, environment documentation.
- Support system development activities with hands on development across multiple systems
- Develop work plans and track/report status of assigned projects/tasks.
- Develop and maintain technical requirements and design documentation.
- Participate in business process redesign initiatives to support ARC’s strategic goals and documenting business processes.
- Provide 24-hour support for new production loads as needed.
- Provide recommendations on process improvement.
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
- 5 years of application support or application administration experience.
- Broad knowledge of Windows OS, NT file systems, Citrix technology.
- Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux platforms.
- Hand on experience working with SharePoint MOSS 2007, and .NET
- MOSS 2007 custom web part / site development using visual studio 2005 and SharePoint Designer
- XML (Querying, Parsing, and Processing), CAML.
- .NET Directory Services (connecting to LDAP, Active Directory, etc.)
- IIS Authentication Mechanisms ** e.g. Negotiate for Kerberos protocol
- SQL Server 2000 DTS package development
- Hands on experience working with relational databases (SQL Server and/or Oracle). Ability to write SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
- Must have the ability to interpret problems associated in the above areas, rectify problems using past experience in Databases, basic Windows/scripting commands, and/or able to comprehend in order to escalate issues to the other technical team members.
- A generalist level technical knowledge of one or more of the following: IIS, Apache/Tomcat, SunOne, WebLogic (other application servers).
- Technical exposure to one or more of these software products as an IT support resource: Content Management Systems, CRM applications, Ticket/Issue Management solutions.
- Ability to develop technical plans in relation to application installations, including the ability to determine hardware and software requirements for application installations.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills.
- Experience supporting both development and production environments.
- Analytical design and problem solving skills with excellent oral and written communication skill.
Preferred
- Direct hands on experience with one or more of the following: IIS, Apache/Tomcat, SunOne, WebLogic (other application servers), SQL Server, Oracle.
- Technical exposure to one or more of these software products as an IT support resource: Documentum (Content Management System), iET Systems (CRM application), Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.
- Java or .NET certified, or application development and scripting skills.
- Strong knowledge of web development technologies. Experience developing web pages. HTML, DHTML, JS, JSP... etc.
- Hands-on experience in software configuration/deployment.
