Position: Documentum Developer
Location: Arlington, VA
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy web and Internet-based products and services with minimal direction and based on documented user requirements.
- Design, modify, develop, write and implement software programming applications.
- Support and/or install software applications.
- Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
- Employ commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in software development.
- Conform to instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Work independently at times and sometimes under supervision.
- Primary job functions do require exercising independent judgment at times and exercising a certain degree of creativity and latitude.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related technical field; Master's degree preferred.
- 5 - 7 years of overall software and application development experience.
- 3 - 5 years of overall Documentum development.
- Installation, configuration, customization and support for Documentum 5. x, 6.x components.
- Experience with Content Server, BPM, WebTop, WebPublisher, DAM, RM, RPS; develop design specifications for object model, security model, workflows, customizations, and docapps.
- Demonstrated experience developing WDK customizations, Java methods, XML Documents, and JSP pages; Provide end-user support, system trouble-shooting, and performance tuning.
- Demonstrated experience developing Documentum jobs and reports using custom/3rd party tools.
- Experience preparing and executing test plans and scripts for all phases of testing. Key Technologies: Java, JSP, Swing, Servlets, XML, HTML, Javascript, XSLT, XSL-FO, FOSI, SQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Apache Tomcat, JBOSS, Weblogic, Websphere.
- Experience with customizing Documentum Webtop 5. x or developing custom applications utilizing WDK and DFC.
- Experience with customizing Documentum WebPublisher 5. x.
- Experience with building Documentum workflows, lifecycles, ACLs, alias sets, and object models.
- Ability to create Custom Lifecycles to implement specific program based business policies and to manage content based on its status.
- Ability to develop Custom Workflows, assigning performers dynamically and programmatically meeting the business requirements.
- Ability to create various access control lists, alias sets to determine the permissions and users dynamically for executives and managers.
- Ability to create custom methods and automate them using jobs. - Ability to maintain workflow history by leveraging Documentum Audit Trail Management utility.
- Ability to create Reports to summarize content creation, publication, and existing content based on current state, categories and topics.
- Ability to write various custom methods to implement the functionalities of the business processes depending on business needs and rules.
- Ability to test application to ensure that requirements have been met.
- Demonstrated experience developing system changes/enhancements based on change requests from end users.
- Experience assisting with roll-out of application.
- Experience with Documentum XML Applications and document modeling based on docbook templates.
- Ability to develop and customize large virtual documents.
- Ability to manipulate and troubleshoot xml virtual document trees, import/export operations, insert/delete children, versioning and binding operations.
- Experience performing technical investigation of new features.
- Ability to provide guidance to business users to ensure system is meeting requirements.
- WebLogic Portal experience is preferred; other portal servers such as WebSphere, JBoss are desirable.
